The legendary guitarist and singer-songwriter Sixto 'Sugar Man' Rodriguez come back to Australia in February and March 2019. This time with special guests Dave Dobbyn (NZ), Caiti Baker (Darwin) and Sarah Blasko (Australian Shows). Rodriguez, a self-taught guitarist, is outspoken about his fondness for playing to Australian audiences after having first toured Australia in the late-'70s and returning in 1981 when Midnight Oil joined him for a few shows. Two shows from Rodriguez's 1979 Australian Tour were later released on the Australian-only album Alive.

Blue Goose Music, an Australian record label, bought the Australian rights to Rodriguez's back catalogue in the mid-'70s and released two of his studio albums in addition to a compilation album titled At His Best which featured unreleased recordings from 1976 Can't Get Away, I'll Slip Away, and Street Boy. Rodriguez's albums began to gain airplay in South Africa, New Zealand and Australia. Not only did his albums gained airplay, At His Best also went platinum in South Africa, which resulted in Rodriguez achieving cult status.
