ARCHITECTS 2023 TICKETS

About

Formed in Brighton, East Sussex, the original members of Architects had already been an active part of the local music scene before the band formed. Drawing influence from The Dillinger Escape Plan, Architects' early albums were characterized by chaotic rhythms, harshness, and complexity. After a period of stylistic transition, the band released Daybreaker in 2012, a combination of melody, technicality, and politically charged lyrics. This was followed in 2014 by the sixth album Lost Forever // Lost Together, which met with critical praise and helped bring the band to lasting fame. James Gill of Metal Hammer noted the music of Architects to be "pumped with both controlled rage and unhindered heart, accessible and ambitious, aggressive and beautiful".

In 2011, Sam Carter commented that each album should be distinct, and with Daybreaker the band regained confidence to embrace heavier music, along with blastbeats which had not been seen since Hollow Crown. The current lineup of Architects consists of Dan Searle on drums and production, Sam Carter on lead vocals, Alex "Ali" Dean on bass and keyboards, Adam Christianson on rhythm guitar and backing vocals, and Josh Middleton on lead guitar and backing vocals.
