Ariana Grande Background

Ariana Grande launched her career in entertainment at a young age. After spending a great deal of her childhood performing in local musical theater productions in Florida, Grande scored a major role in the Broadway musical 13. Following her stint on Broadway, Grande starred in the Nickelodeon show Victorious, and the success of the show helped her acquire a large fan base. Eventually, Grande decided to segue into one of her other true passions – music.

In 2013, Grande released her debut album, Yours Truly, which had taken three years to record. The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, and it went on to achieve platinum certification. The album featured high-charting hits like "The Way" and "Baby I," and it proved that Grande was much more than just a Nickelodeon actress — she was a major pop star.

To date, Grande has released four studio albums: Yours Truly (2013), My Everything (2014), Dangerous Woman (2016) and Sweetener (2018). Her sophomore release, My Everything, was certified double platinum in the US and platinum in Canada, Sweden and Japan.

Grande's music career began in 2011 with the soundtrack Music from Victorious. In 2013, she released her first studio album Yours Truly, which entered atop the US Billboard 200. The album's lead single, "The Way", debuted in the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100. Critics compared her wide vocal range to that of Mariah Carey.

Grande lit Australia on fire with her Dangerous Woman Tour in held in September 2017. For the first time ever, Australian fans were treated to a sensational live show with hits from her 2016 chart-topping album, Dangerous Woman.

As of June 2018, Grande's music videos had been viewed more than ten billion times online! Her accolades include three American Music Awards, three MTV Europe Music Awards, two MTV Video Music Awards and four Grammy Award nominations. Grande has sold 30.5 million digital singles in the US. All three of her albums have been certified platinum by the RIAA.
