BLUDFEST AUSTRALIAN TOUR 2026

All You Need To Know About BludFest

BludFest (also stylised as BLUDFEST) is a new musical festival that was first launched in 2024. Its creation was spearheaded by British musician YUNGBLUD, who sought to create a more affordable and inclusive music festival for all.

So far, one BludFest has taken place each year, with the 2024 and 2025 festivals occurring at the National Bowl in Milton Keynes, England. 2026 will mark the festival’s first international showing, taking place at Park 360 in Hradec Králové, Czech Republic.

YUNGBLUD has gone on record stating that his intention is for the 2027 BludFest to take place here in Australia. What can fans expect from BludFest’s Australian tour in terms of genre and lineup?

Thus far, the artist lineups at BludFest have been curated by YUNGBLUD, leading to a defined collection of genres and artists (with several recurring for multiple festivals). We’ve provided a breakdown of the main genres and some of the key artists within them. This provides a solid sense of the types of genres and artists Aussie fans should expect when BludFest makes its way to Australia.

Alternative rock/alternative pop-rock: This is arguably the dominant genre of each BludFest thus far. The key recurring artist in the genre is undoubtedly YUNGBLUD himself, who headlines each festival (and will do so in 2026 as well).

- Other artists include Jesse Jo Stark (appearing in 2024 and playing at the 2026 festival), Aziya (2024), Master Peace (2025), Biffy Clyro (2026), Palaye Royale (2026), and LEAP (2026)

Indie rock/indie pop: Artists include Hannah Grae (2024), Nieve Ella (2025 and 2026), Cliffords (2025), and Pale Waves (2026).

Alternative pop/dark pop/hyperpop: Artists include Nessa Barrett (2024), Peach PRC (2025), Bambie Thug (2026), and Pam Rabbit (2026).

Hip-hop/rap: While BludFest mostly leans on different styles of rock and pop, hip-hop and rap are also proving key mainstays every year. Artists include Lil Yachty (2024), Denzel Curry (2025), and Destroy Lonely (2026).

Along with showcasing some of the bigger names within the above genres, BludFest also places a spotlight on newer and emerging artists within these fields. For Aussies who are excited at the prospect of a possible 2027 BludFest making its way down under, the above genres and artists provide a solid picture of what you can expect.

What sets BludFest apart from other Australian music festivals?

Australia has a number of notable musical festivals, including Splendour in the Grass, Laneway Festival, Falls Festival, and Beyond the Valley, to name  a few. While all of these festivals are fantastic in their own right, they’re also predominantly promoter-driven, often involve many legacy artists, and can have ticket prices that prove too expensive for many music lovers.

BludFest differentiates itself in several ways. First, each festival is directly curated by YUNGBLUD rather than set promoters, with many of the featured artists being younger or emerging. The festival offers a way for attendees to experience the work of younger established musicians while discovering the works of artists they may not be familiar with.

As a festival, BludFest is also intended to be more affordable (a key driving reason behind YUNGBLUD launching the festival) and offering an experience for a younger audience to come together and freely express themselves.

Top 3 BludFest Shows

1. YUNGBLUD (Headliner Performance)- The defining moment of BludFest. As the founder and headliner, YUNGBLUD delivered a high-energy, emotionally charged set that felt more like a movement than a concert. Reviews highlight his performance as the centrepiece, with fans describing it as a “near-religious experience” due to the connection with the crowd and explosive stage presence.

2. Lil Yachty- One of the biggest crossover highlights, Lil Yachty brought a genre-blending hip-hop set that stood out in the alternative-heavy lineup. His performance added diversity and energy, helping define BludFest’s identity as a festival that “blurs genre boundaries”.

3. Soft Play- Formerly known as Slaves, Soft Play delivered one of the most chaotic and high-octane punk sets of the day. Their performance was widely praised for its raw intensity, humour, and crowd interaction — a perfect representation of the festival’s rebellious spirit.
