Who are Foy Vance & The Paper Kites?

Foy Vance is a Northern Irish singer-songwriter born in Bangor, County Down, in 1974. He released his debut album, Hope, in 2007. His other albums include Joy of Nothing (2013), The Wild Swan (2016), and Signs of Life (2021). One of his best-known songs is “Make It Rain,” which was later covered by Ed Sheeran. Vance has also collaborated with artists including Ed Sheeran and Bonnie Raitt.

The Paper Kites are an Australian indie-folk band from Melbourne, formed in 2009. The band consists of Sam Bentley, Christina Lacy, Dave Powys, Sam Rasmussen and Paul Dempsey. They released their debut album, States, in 2013, which included the song “Bloom.” Other albums include Twelvefour (2015), On the Train Ride Home (2018), and At the Roadhouse (2023). The band has toured internationally and has performed across Australia, North America and Europe.
