Marshmello tour dates

Sporting a cylindrical, full-head helmet to mask his identity, Marshmello is one of the most intriguing acts in music - but not just because no one in the mellogang seems to know who he is. Working with high-profile acts including Skrillex, Justin Bieber and Khalid, the electronic DJ stands poised to be electronic music's next titan.

Marshmello's background

Aided by his manager, the music industry's shrewd Moe Shalizi, Marshmello debuted in the form of a song called "WaVeZ," posted to his SoundCloud page in March 2015. A month later, he uploaded another, called "FinD Me." This second track quickly found fame when dubstep star Skrillex listed the song as one of his weekly "Skrillex Selects." Shortly after that, Jack Ü (the musical project of Diplo and Skrillex) tapped Marshmello to remix the hit song "Where Are Ü Now," which featured pop star Justin Bieber. He also notably produced a remix of a hit track by Zedd, called "Beautiful Now." All together, his work to that point gained much attention and resulted in him getting booked at major EDM fests, including HARD Day of the Dead in Pomona, California and OMFG! New Year's Eve in San Diego.

Marshmello's career milestones

After a string of one-off successes, Marshmello released his debut album, Joytime in 2016 through his own label, Joytime Collective. Two songs on the album, "Silence" (featuring singer Khalid) and "Alone," hit the U.S. charts, launching the album to a peak No. 5 on the Billboard Dance charts. "Alone" may be his biggest hit to date, with well over half a billion YouTube music video views and counting.
