Periphery will be coming to Australia in March 2027.

Who is Periphery?

Periphery is an American progressive metal band formed in 2005 by guitarist and producer Misha Mansoor, initially developing from his online project Bulb. Based in the Washington, D.C. area, the band became one of the leading forces in the modern djent movement, combining low-tuned, extended-range guitars, complex polyrhythms, technical musicianship, electronic textures, and melodic vocals. Their core lineup includes Mansoor, guitarists Mark Holcomb and Jake Bowen, vocalist Spencer Sotelo, and drummer Matt Halpern. Periphery released their self-titled debut in 2010 and followed it with albums including Periphery II (2012), the double album Juggernaut: Alpha/Omega (2015), Periphery III: Select Difficulty (2016), Periphery IV: Hail Stan (2019), and Periphery V: Djent Is Not a Genre (2023). Periphery III earned a Grammy nomination for Best Metal Performance, while the band is widely regarded as an important influence on contemporary progressive and technical metal.

 

Periphery Australian Tour 2027

GRAMMY Award-nominated progressive metal quintet Periphery will return to Australia next March for a six-date headline tour in support of their upcoming album A Pale White Dot. The band will perform across the country, with Sydney-based modern metalcore act Inertia joining them as the support act for all six shows.
