Gordan Matthew Thomas Sumner, fondly known as Sting, is an English musician and multi-instrumentalist. Sting has won 17 Grammy awards, 3 Brit Awards, a Golden Globe, an Emmy, and was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of The Police.

Initially known for his illustrious start with a three-piece jazz outfit , ‘The Police’, Sting eventually went on to have his own successful solo career. His musicality knows no bounds as he effortlessly incorporates different genres into his work, most notably rock, new-wave and reggae.

Sting performed live consistently through these years, volunteering for several concerts that helped raise money for multiple charities such as Live Aid and Conspiracy of Hope concerts. On releasing his second studio album ‘...Nothing Like The Sun’, he dedicated it to his mother, who had recently passed. This double platinum banger of an album won Best British Album in 1988 at The Brits and received several Grammy nominations. 

Sting has continued to produce new music and tour throughout the years with collaborations with artists like Annie Lennox, Craig David, and Mary J. Blige. Most recently, he collaborated with Shaggy on the album ‘44/876’ and toured it in 2018. The unlikely duo have toured all over the world and even performed in Australia! 

When is Sting performing in 2023?

Sting has a string of concerts coming up in Australia starting from the 15th of February 2023 till the 26th of February 2023. His recent collaboration with Shaggy has been a huge success, with their album 44/876 taking the world by storm.
