All You Need To Know About The Killers

Formed in Las Vegas in 2001 by Brandon Flowers and Dave Keuning, The Killers initially went through multiple bass players and drummers before Mark Stoermer and Ronnie Vannucci Jr. joined in 2002. Their band name was inspired by a logo seen in the New Order music video for "Crystal." The band has achieved seven chart-topping albums in the UK, such as "Hot Fuss," "Imploding the Mirage," and more. Additionally, they've released compilations like "Sawdust," "Direct Hits," a live recording from the Royal Albert Hall, and a Christmas compilation titled "Don't Waste Your Wishes."

Since 2016-2017, both Stoermer and Keuning took breaks from The Killers. Stoermer retired from touring due to exhaustion and an accident, but participated in album recordings. Keuning released a solo album and also contributed to recording sessions. Live, Sablay replaced Keuning on lead guitar, Blanton shifted to bass, and new members joined for rhythm guitar and keyboards. The band, celebrated as one of the top rock acts of the 21st century, has sold over 28 million records globally, performed in 50+ countries across six continents, and headlined major venues and festivals like Madison Square Garden, Wembley Stadium, and Glastonbury.
