Australian singer-songwriter and actor Troye Sivan Mellet, known as Troye Sivan, gained fame through YouTube and Australian talent shows. Signing with EMI Australia in 2013, he released his third EP, "TRXYE" (2014), hitting number five on the US Billboard 200 with its lead single, "Happy Little Pill," reaching the top 10 in Australia. Following this, Sivan released "Wild" (2015) and his debut studio album "Blue Neighbourhood," featuring "Youth," his first Billboard Hot 100 top 40 single at number 23.
His second studio album, "Bloom" (2018), achieved top-five positions in Australia and the US. The lead single, "My My My!", secured his second number-one spot on the Billboard Dance Club Songs chart. In 2020, he released the EP "In a Dream." Sivan's third album, "Something to Give Each Other," dropped in 2023, spawning three singles—"Rush," "Got Me Started," and "One of Your Girls"—all making the top 40 in the UK and ARIA Singles Chart. Both "Rush" and "One of Your Girls" also charted on the Billboard Hot 100. Notably, "Rush" earned Sivan his first Grammy nominations for Best Pop Dance Recording and Best Music Video.
Sivan displayed his acting talent in "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" and the Spud trilogy. His advocacy efforts earned him the 2017 GLAAD Stephen F. Kolzak Award. He received a Golden Globe nod for Best Original Song in "Boy Erased" (2018) and appeared in "Three Months" (2022) while starring in HBO's "The Idol" (2023).
