Yothu Yindi is one of Australia’s most significant Indigenous musical groups, formed in 1986 in north-east Arnhem Land. The band is widely recognised for its distinctive fusion of Yolŋu culture and language with contemporary rock and pop music, bringing Indigenous perspectives and political themes into mainstream Australian music.
