South Africa Cricket World Cup Tickets. Despite making the semi-finals four times, most recently in 2015, South Africa have never made it to an ICC Cricket World Cup final. The team, commonly known as the Proteas, will be led by captain Francois du Plessis. South Africa will play the opening game of the tournament against England on 30 May at Kennington Oval in London. They play Australia on 6 July at Old Trafford.
