MCDONALDS PARK 2024

About

McDonald’s Park stands as Wagga's top rectangular sports arena and serves as the focal point for the Rugby League in this regional city. Initially recognized as the Wagga Equex Centre, this venue accommodates up to 10,000 spectators, featuring a primary grandstand with covered seating and grassy embankments for spectators. Equipped with 250-lux lighting, the venue is apt for evening matches. In 2020, upgrades were undertaken, expanding seating on both sides of the grandstand and the opposite end, along with an extension of the southern hill.

The venue has accommodated pre-season NRL and Super Rugby games, the City v Country Origin fixture, and marked its inaugural NRL Premiership match in 2019, featuring the Canberra Raiders against the Penrith Panthers. This match drew a capacity crowd of 10,079 attendees, selling out the stadium.
