FIFA World Cup 2022 Teams

The 2022 men's World Cup in Qatar will feature 32 teams before the field expands to 48 teams for the 2026 World Cup. The FIFA men's World Cup has featured 32 teams for the last six editions since the  French World Cup in 1998.

Joining host nation Qatar at the tournament will be 31 other countries that have earned a ticket to the big dance through regional qualifying matches.

European teams have had the recent run of success at the World Cup with Brazil being the last non European team to win the trophy back in 2002.

The World Cup will see Footballing nations such as: Brazil, Argentina, Germany, Portugal, France, Spain and England all fighting it out to claim glory.

Italy will be a noticeable absentee from this years World CUp having failed to qualify despite their 2020 Euro's triumph over England.

This years World Cup is sure to be hotly contested.
