We’re gearing up for a huge winter of test rugby, and there’s plenty of action to keep you warm through those cold nights. The Wallabies are back in action this July, and tickets for the rugby are on sale now for venues across Australia.

Dave Rennie’s Wallabies side will kick off their 2021 test season with a three-match series against France in July, and will then turn their attention to old rivals New Zealand for the 61st edition of the Bledisloe Cup series in August.

Both competitions will prove an important test for what’s set to be a young and refreshed Wallabies side, rebounding after finishing bottom of last year’s Tri-Nations table, having drawn their final two matches against Argentina back in December.

Australia have a point to prove this year, and with a crop of emerging talent coming through the ranks, it could be one of the most exciting years to be a Wallabies fan.

Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, and Brisbane rugby tickets are now on sale via the Ticket Merchant. With capacity crowds expected at each venue, avoid disappointment and grab your Australian rugby tickets today!

France vs Australia Rugby Tickets

For Dave Rennie, this winter is a huge chance to test some of his emerging young players, including those who starred in the Under 20 World Championship Final against France in 2019.

With most of those players now graduating to the senior side, it’s an exciting time for this talented Wallabies squad, building towards the 2023 World Cup.

Notably, Rennie has named 11 uncapped players in his 38-man squad 2021 squad, along with another 14 players who have under ten caps. The Wallabies will first take on France on 7th July at the Sydney Cricket Ground in the opening test match of the eToro France Test Series, with debutants Feli Kaitu’u (Western Force), Lachlan Lonergan (Brumbies), and Andrew Kellaway (Rebels) likely to feature early on.

But Rennie hasn’t totally gone for youth over experience. Wallabies selectors have maintained some of their most experienced players, with Michael Hooper stepping up to captain the side alongside centurion front-rower James Slipper.

Australia will also welcome veteran second-row Sitaleki Timani back to the international side. Timani hasn’t played for the Wallabies in 2,760 days, last featuring in 2013 against Scotland in the Autumn Nations, having spent the last eight years playing in France.

Meanwhile, France will travel to Australia this week and will likely field a much less experienced squad than Australia, with the majority of their marquee players unable to travel Down Under due to domestic commitments.

Star halfback duo Antone Dupont and Vincent Ntamack will both miss the series to play in the Top 14 Final against Toulouse this coming Friday. While key players Gael Fickou and Virimi Vakatawa have also be omitted from the squad after long and taxing seasons playing in the Top 14.

In their place, head coach Fabien Galthié has opted to bring 22 uncapped players in his 42-man playing cohort.

But it’s still game on for the Wallabies, who will still have to compete against a physical France side that still boasts a lot of experience in players like scrum expert Demba Bamba, speedster Damien Penaud, and breakdown specialist Jonathan Danty.

Tickets are available for Australia’s second test match against France on 13th July at the AAMI Stadium in Melbourne, which could be the first time in months Melbourne will have hosted a major sporting event following recent coronavirus lockdowns. However, Australian rugby tickets are expected to sell out quickly for this one, so act fast and secure yours through the Ticket Merchant today!

As always with France, you can never tell which team is going to turn up, they are one of the most unpredictable sides in the world, and that’s why this series could go down to the wire. Yet, you cannot underestimate them, as they are currently one of the best sides in Europe, having finished second in this year’s Six Nations Championship.

"I've gone through all the hypotheticals and have picked my team, but as you know with the French in general, sometimes you don't know what's going to roll up, but they can be so dangerous, they're a bloody good team," Australian Attack Coach Scott Wisemantel concurred in a press conference on Tuesday.

Put it this way; you do not want to miss out on the final match of this series, which will be held at the Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane. Rugby tickets for the Brisbane Test on 17th July are currently on sale via the Ticket Merchant, and for any rugby fans in Queensland, this is a must-attend.

2021 Bledisloe Cup Tickets

Will the Wallabies undo their 19-year Bledisloe Cup drought against the All Blacks this year?

We’ll find out on 7th August, as Australia travel to Auckland to take on New Zealand in the first leg of this year’s Bledisloe Cup series. The Wallabies will travel away to New Zealand to play the first and third tests in the series but will host the All Blacks in Perth for the second of this year’s tests. 2021 Bledisloe Cup tickets are also on sale now at the Ticket Merchant for both home and away fixtures. Secure yours today!

This week, New Zealand announced their 2021 test squad, which as always, is littered with depth, pace, and power. But this year they will be without their captain Sam Cane who will miss the majority of the rest of the year with a pectoral injury.

In his place, veteran second-row Sam Whitelock will lead the side, alongside experienced players Aaron Smith and Ardie Savea.

Interestingly, the All Blacks have some selection problems ahead of them. With Beauden Barrett returning to New Zealand from Japan to battle with Crusaders star Richie Mo’Unga for the number ten jersey.

The second test in this year’s Bledisloe Cup series will be held on 21st August at the Optus Stadium in Perth, and you do not want to miss out on seeing these stars of world rugby in action against the Wallabies.

The last time New Zealand came to Perth, the Optus Stadium hosted a capacity crowd of over 61,000 fans. So to avoid disappointment, be sure to book your tickets here today!

For the final game in the series, Australia will travel to Wellington, the site of their extraordinary 16-all draw against New Zealand in last year’s Bledisloe Cup. Australia took the game to the All Blacks in that match, with Marika Koroibete and Filipo Daugunu crossing the try line for the Wallabies.

This year’s match in Wellington will kick off at 19:05 on 28th August and could once again be a thriller to decide the series. You do not want to miss out on the finalé of what’s set to be an enormous clash.
