About

Joe Lycett is a British comedian, actor, and presenter from Birmingham, England. He began performing stand-up comedy at the age of 18 and went on to become one of the UK's most popular comedians. He grew up in Hall Green and attended King Edward's School. He then attended the University of Manchester and graduated in 2006 with a degree in Drama. 

Lycett is best known for his appearances on 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown and Never Mind the Buzzcocks. He has also appeared on other shows such as Have I Got News For You, Live at the Apollo, Would I Lie to You?, Insert Name Here, and Room 101. He also hosted his own BBC Three show, Joe Lycett's Got Your Back. 

In addition to his television appearances, Lycett has also made appearances in films such as The Festival, Bill, and Uncle. He also wrote the script for the short film, The Inbetweeners: Fwends Reunited, which aired on E4.  Lycett is currently touring the UK with his show, I'm About to Lose Control and I Think Joe Lycett. He also regularly performs at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, where he has won the Chortle Award for Best Show in 2017 and 2018.   

In 2020, Lycett hosted his own podcast, Podcrastinating with Joe Lycett, which became an instant hit. He also released his debut book, Parsnips Buttered: A Memoir of Growing Up, Coming Out and Carving a Career.
