The Eagles are a band that has been around for quite some time, and they have definitely made their mark on the music industry. The original group is made up of four talented members: Glenn Frey, Don Henley, Bernie Leadon, and Randy Meisner. Since the passing of Glenn Frey, his sons Vince Gill and Deacon Frey,  have gone on to be new members of the band. 

They all bring something unique to the table musically, which helps to create the distinct sound of the Eagles. One of the things that make the Eagles so special is their ability to write great songs, crafting dozens of tracks that have become iconic in the world of music. Some of their most famous hits include ‘Hotel California’,  ‘Lyin' Eyes’" and ‘Take It Easy’.  The band has also been praised for their live performances, with the new members of the band being full of energy and excitement. 

The band has released six studio albums, one live album, and one greatest hits album. The Eagles' first album, ‘Eagles’, was released in 1972 and peaked at number 22 on the Billboard 200 chart. This led to a domino effect of all their albums releasing and topping the Billboard charts.  

The Eagles have also released one live album, ‘Hell Freezes Over’, which was released in 1994 and peaked at number four on the Billboard 200 chart. The band's only greatest hits album, ‘Selected Works: 1972-1999’, was released in 2000 and peaked at number five on the Billboard 200 chart.

The Eagles have toured extensively in the past, playing both large stadiums and intimate venues. Their most recent tour, The History of the Eagles, visited dozens of cities across North America and Europe. The tour was a massive success, with tickets selling out in minutes.

The Eagles' 2004 concert in Australia was a financial success, earning the band an estimated $32 million. With record-breaking ticket sales from the 16 shows across the country, the rock legends proved their enduring popularity and the demand for their classic hits. The tour also saw the addition of new member Vince Gill, who joined the band on stage to perform favourites like ‘Hotel California’ and ‘Take it Easy’.  Overall, the Eagles' successful Australia tour serves as another reminder of the lasting appeal and cultural significance of their music. 

The Eagles last graced the Australian stage during their 2019 World tour.
