About

Evanescence is an American rock band founded in 1995 in Little Rock, Arkansas, iby singer and pianist Amy Leeand guitarist Ben Moody. After recording independent albums, the band released their first full-length album, Fallen, on Wind-up Records in 2003. Fallen sold more than 17 million copies worldwide and helped the band win two Grammy Awards out of seven nominations.

A year later, Evanescence released their first live album, Anywhere but Home, which sold more than one million copies worldwide. In 2006, the band released their second studio album, The Open Door, which sold more than five million copies.

After bringing themselves (back) to life with new single ‘Imperfection’, the noughties dark rockers (now sans founding guitarist Ben Moody) headed to Australia in February 2018 for their first tour since 2012, and what’s more, they had an orchestra in toe.

Armed with their brand new album Synthesis, released on the 10 November 2017, Amy Lee and co. performed in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne with their arsenal of enigmatic tunes, but not as we know them. The Synthesis Live tour saw Evanescence reimagine some of their best-loved songs with the spotlight on full orchestra, plus electronics, combined with the band and Amy Lee’s virtuoso piano and voice.

Evanescence will be performing highlights spanning from their 2003 debut release all the way up to some of their fan favourites. They will be celebrating 20 years of Fallen.
