About

The Moving On! Tour is an upcoming symphonic concert tour scheduled for the British rock band the Who, held to promote their upcoming new studio album, which will be the group's first one since 2006's Endless Wire.

English rock band The Who rocketed to fame in the 1960s, and the band is widely considered one of the best to emerge in the 1960s. Pete Townshend and Roger Daltrey continue to perform around the world, and The Who made history with the announcement of its inclusion on the Desert Trip concert lineup, also featuring The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Paul McCartney, Neil Young and Roger Waters.

The Who background

The Who formed in 1964 in London, where they gigged regularly at mod scene venues like the White Hart Hotel in Acton and the Notre Dame Hall in Leicester Square. The band earned a reputation for explosive performances and soon The Who became one of the most high-profile bands in the London rock scene. Their mainstream breakout hit, "My Generation," made The Who a huge sensation in both the UK and North American.

Over the course of their career, The Who has released 11 studio albums, many of which have been certified platinum and multi-platinum in countries around the world. The Who's high-charting releases spawned some of the biggest rock hits of the 1960s and 1970s, including "Baba O’Riley," "Who Are You" and "Pinball Wizard."

The Who greatest moments

In 1990, The Who was honored with an induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The band's display at the Hall of Fame describes The Who as "prime contenders, in the minds of many, for the title of World's Greatest Rock Band."
