MELBOURNE ASHES TICKETS

About

Melbourne will host the 4th Ashes Test match between Australia and England starting on Boxing Day 2025.

Now in its 145th year, Australia-England Test matches continue to captivate fans around the world, never more so than in 2019 when the Australian men’s team retained the Ashes on English soil for the first time in 18 years.

The MCG will host the fourth Test Match in the Men’s 2025/26 Ashes Series, giving the Boxing Day Test the opportunity to deliver the coveted Ashes urn to either Australia or England, as well as a Men’s T20 International match against Sri Lanka in February of next year.

The ‘G, as it is affectionately known to locals, is so much more than Australia’s biggest sporting stadium. Established less than 20 years after the founding of Melbourne, it is the heart of the city. It has hosted Papal and Royal visits and housed US Marines, the US Army airforces and our own RAAF during World War II. It has also been a concert venue for international and local performers, held open days, charity events, dinners and many more.

In 1877, England and Australia met on the cricket pitch for the first time. Where was this historic game played? Melbourne, of course. Melbourne is a city mad for sports and there's nothing like the Ashes Boxing Day Test Match at the Melbourne Cricket Ground between Australia and England.

It only happens once every four years, so make sure you’re among the 100,000 supporters at the next MCG Ashes Test in 2021. England have faced Australia 55 times at the MCG. Australia have won 28 times and England have won 20 times, with 7 drawn matches.
