There are eight Big Bash teams competing in the 2026-27 season, representing Adelaide, Brisbane, Hobart, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney.

The eight teams in the Big Bash League play five home matches each during the regular season, with some clubs using more than one venue. Here’s where each team is scheduled to play its home fixtures in 2026-27.

Each club also plays five away matches, making up the 40-match regular season before the finals.

Big Bash Cricket teams, city by city

Melbourne and Sydney each have two teams. The Melbourne Stars and Melbourne Renegades represent Victoria's capital, while the Sydney Sixers and Sydney Thunder are based in Sydney. Matches between the two teams from the same city form the Melbourne and Sydney derbies.

Adelaide, Brisbane, Perth and Hobart each have one team. The Strikers, Heat, Scorchers and Hurricanes represent their respective cities, although some home fixtures are played at other venues during the season.

The Hurricanes take one home match to Launceston, while both Sydney teams play at Manuka Oval in Canberra. Check the venue listed for your chosen fixture before buying tickets.
