Founded in 1864 in Carlton, an inner suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, the Carlton Football Club was one of the first AFL clubs to be formed. Carlton hit the ground running as they rose to become one of the AFL's powerhouse clubs, completing a threepeat between 1906 - 1908.
