The National Rugby League, originating from the New South Wales Rugby League in 1908, evolved through the 1990s Super League strife. Established in 1998 through collaboration between the ARL and News Corporation's Super League, the NRL's control shifted to the restructured ARL, now the Australian Rugby League Commission, by 2012. The NRL Telstra Premiership, Australia's professional rugby league competition, comprises teams from New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria, the Australian Capital Territory, and New Zealand.

Round 27 2024 Season

The NRL has officially released the complete schedule and lineup for the upcoming 2024 season, commencing on March 2 in Las Vegas (March 3 in Australian time). Round 27 features eight scheduled games starting on September 5 and concluding on September 8, 2024. 

The NRL will host 27 rounds of action, welcoming the Dolphins. Meanwhile, the State of Origin period remains unchanged, causing disruptions in the middle of the year.
