About

The National Rugby League, originating from the New South Wales Rugby League in 1908, evolved through the 1990s Super League strife. Established in 1998 through collaboration between the ARL and News Corporation's Super League, the NRL's control shifted to the restructured ARL, now the Australian Rugby League Commission, by 2012. The NRL Telstra Premiership, Australia's professional rugby league competition, comprises teams from New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria, the Australian Capital Territory, and New Zealand.

Round 1 2024 Season

The NRL has officially released the complete schedule and lineup for the upcoming 2024 season, commencing on March 2 in Las Vegas (March 3 in Australian time). As previously confirmed, the season's inaugural matches will feature the South Sydney Rabbitohs facing off against the Manly Sea Eagles and the Brisbane Broncos taking on the Sydney Roosters.

Breaking away from tradition, these games in Las Vegas will mark a Sunday afternoon start to the season. Following this kickoff, the remaining six games of NRL Round 1 will take place in Australia the following weekend, with the Wests Tigers enjoying the first bye of the season.
