BRISBANE BRONCOS TICKETS - 2024 NRL SEASON

About

The Brisbane Broncos Rugby League Football Club Ltd., known as the Broncos, is a professional rugby league team based in Brisbane, Queensland. Established in April 1987, the Broncos currently compete in the National Rugby League (NRL). They boast a remarkable record of seven premierships, comprising two New South Wales Rugby League titles, a Super League win, and four NRL championships. The team has also claimed two World Club Challenges and earned four minor premierships across different competitions. Until 2015, Brisbane had never lost a grand final and experienced five non-qualifying seasons since 1991. The Brisbane Broncos were formed in 1988 by the Queensland Rugby League (QRL) to counter the VFL's Brisbane Bears. Led by key figures Barry Maranta and Paul Morgan, the team recruited stars like Wally Lewis and coach Wayne Bennett. Despite a strong start, they narrowly missed the finals in their debut season. The following years had highs and lows, marked by changes in leadership and mixed performances, including a heartbreaking defeat in a 1990 Preliminary Final and a tough 1991 season.

On July 7, the Broncos finalized Walsh's signing for 2023 and beyond. To make room for Walsh in the salary cap, Martin received permission to explore options with other clubs and subsequently joined the New Zealand Warriors starting in 2023.

As the regular 2023 season reached its final round (Round 27), Brisbane held the top position on the NRL ladder. With a finals berth secured, eleven of their thirteen regular players were rested. Despite this, the Melbourne Storm clinched a 32-22 victory at Suncorp Stadium. Brisbane missed out on their first minor premiership win since 2000 due to a narrower points differential compared to the Penrith Panthers by the end of Round 27.

Nevertheless, Brisbane advanced to face Penrith in the 2023 NRL Grand Final at Accor Stadium on October 1. Unfortunately, they suffered the largest comeback in NRL Grand Final history, conceding a 24-26 loss in the final twenty minutes.
