WEEZER AUSTRALIAN TOUR TICKETS

About

Legendary 90s nerd-rock band, Weezer are returning to Australia. They had their own Aussie tour planned before Foo Fighters’ support gig in 2018. In 2018, Weezer released "Can't Knock the Hustle", the lead single from their upcoming self-titled album. In November, they released the second single, "Zombie Bastards", and announced the "Black Album", produced by Dave Sitek and scheduled for March 1, 2019. An arena tour of the U.S. with the Pixies and supporting and international tour dates were also announced.

The band, who’s first two albums "The Blue Album" and Pinkerton are considered by many to be absolute classics of the 90s, and they have since recorded several successful follow-ups. In 2001, Weezer returned with another self-titled album, known as the "Green Album", with new bassist Mikey Welsh. With a more pop sound, and promoted by singles "Hash Pipe" and "Island in the Sun", the album was a commercial success and received mostly positive reviews. Their single "Beverly Hills" from Make Believe (2005) became Weezer's first single to top the US Modern Rock Tracks chart and the first to reach the top ten on the Billboard Hot 100. Their eleventh album, Pacific Daydream (2017), featured a more mainstream pop sound.

Weezer has sold 10.2 million albums in the US and over 35 million worldwide.
